Welcome to Fordham, Commuter Students!
Commuter students are an integral part of the Fordham Community and we value and take pride in our diverse commuter population. We want you to feel excited about beginning your journey at Fordham.
Commuter Students Services is here to provide direction and support to ensure that you can make the most out of your experience here at the Rose Hill campus. We know that beginning your journey at a new institution can be nerve-wracking, so we compiled a list of resources below to help you through orientation and beyond. Summer Orientation ProgramLooking to learn more about life at Fordham? The New Student Orientation team plans three 1-day events mid-summer for students and families to connect with administrators, student leaders and fellow incoming Rams!
Please note that some dates include Commuter and Transfer specific information sessions.
First-Year Commuter and Transfer Student BarbecuePrior to the start of orientation, Commuter Student Services hosts an annual Barbecue for incoming commuter and transfer first-year students. This event is the perfect opportunity to not only meet other incoming commuter students, but also members of the Commuter Assistant team! Additionally, This is also a great opportunity to become acquainted with some of the resources provided by other departments on campus.
Fall Orientation ScheduleThis three-day orientation is mandatory for all incoming students and is planned and executed by New Student Orientation. Students are introduced to the Fordham University community as well as other students through participation in activities and programs with orientation leaders.

Commuter Student ServicesAs a part of the Office for Student Involvement, Commuter Student Services (CSS) provides a variety of services to support commuter students in their life at Fordham. Such services include Commuter Career Chats, Monthly Meal Voucher Lottery, a biweekly electronic Commuter Newsletter, and other workshops and programs.
Commuter Assistant ProgramAll incoming commuter students will be assigned to a Commuter Assistant for their first year at Fordham. Remember to check your email over the summer for news from your Commuter Assistant Team!
Commuting Students AssociationThe Commuting Students Association (CSA) is the governing body for commuter students at the Rose Hill campus. CSA meets on Mondays at 1 p.m. throughout the semester, and every commuter student is welcome to attend!
