AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates
AlcoholEdu
As part of Fordham University’s comprehensive approach to alcohol abuse prevention, all new students enrolled in Fordham College Lincoln Center and the Gabelli School of Business are required to complete AlcoholEdu for College.
Used on over 500 campuses nationwide, the course uses science-based research to educate students about alcohol and its effects. AlcoholEdu for College creates a learning experience that clarifies unrealistic expectations about the effects of alcohol, links choices about drinking to academic and personal success, and helps students practice healthier and safer decision-making.
In addition to providing alcohol education for all incoming first-year students, AlcoholEdu collects survey data from students as they complete the course. All survey responses are strictly confidential; Fordham University will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students’ answers.
The course has two sections, both of which must be completed to fulfill this requirement:
Part 1 (approx. 2-3 hr.)
- Module 1: Getting Started
- Module 2: It’s Your Choice
- Assessments: Survey 1 Pre-Test
- Module 3: Expectations and Relationships
- Module 4: Brain and Body
- Module 5: Being in Community
- Module 6: Goals and Plans
- Module 7: Conclusion and Next Steps
- Assessments: Survey 2 Exam
- Intersession: 30-45 Days
Part 2 (approx. 15 min.)
- Module 8: Part Two Introduction
- Assessments: Survey 3
- Module 9: Recognizing Problems
- Module 10: Course Conclusion
Please Note: You must receive a grade of 80% or higher to pass and receive credit for the course.
- Access to the course will be available at the beginning of August. Check your email for more information and deadlines. 45 days after completing Part I, students will receive an email prompting them to complete Part II of the course.
Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates (SAPU)
As part of Fordham University’s comprehensive approach providing a variety of prevention initiatives and education, all new students enrolled in Fordham College Lincoln Center and the Gabelli School of Business are required to complete Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates (SAPU).
Sexual Assault Prevention is an online sexual assault prevention and bystander awareness program, to educate our students to be responsible and foster a safe campus environment. Within this program, students are provided with important information, including key definitions, bystander strategies, and resources to help educate on sexual assault and relationship abuse.
In addition to providing alcohol education for all incoming students, Sexual Assault Prevention collects survey data from students as they complete the course. All survey responses are strictly confidential; Fordham University will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students’ answers.
The course has two sections, both of which must be completed to fulfill this requirement:

- Module 2: Values, Identities, and Relationships
- Module 3: Gender Identities and Stereotypes
- Module 4: Sexual Harassment and Stalking
- Module 5: Consent, Coercion, and Stepping In
- Module 6: Reporting and Responding
- Assessments: Survey 2 Exam
- Intersession: 30-45 Days
Part 2 (approx. 15 min.)
- Assessments: Survey 3
- Module 7: Prevention Starts With You
- Module 8: Creating Safe Communities
- Module 9: Supporting Survivors

AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention Course Instructions
- You will receive an email to your Fordham email inviting you to access the courses. You do not need to create a new account, and can log in to the system using your Fordham Single Sign On (SSO) credentials.
You may log in and out of the course at the end of each section. Section ends are marked with a “Next” button. DO NOT log out until you click the “Next” button or you will have to repeat the section you have just gone through.
To log back into your account, always access AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention from https://admin.fifoundry.net/fordham_university_lincoln_center/sign_in#/.
