Graduation is a festive occasion, filled with the pride of accomplishment and the great joy of family members, loved ones, and friends who attend graduation ceremonies to celebrate the achievements of those who are being recognized. To ensure a seamless experience for our graduates and those who are attending Fordham University’s Commencement Ceremony and the Gabelli School’s Undergraduate and Graduate Diploma Ceremonies, please reference the important information below. Fordham University’s 2024 Commencement
All graduates (undergraduate, graduate, doctoral) are invited to attend
Fordham University’s 2024 Commencement.
Date: Saturday, May 18, 2024
Time: 10:00 a.m. - Please arrive by no later than 9:30 a.m. for the check-in and lineup
(If you do not have a cap, gown, and hood, you will not be able to
participate in the ceremony)
Ceremony Location: Edwards Parade, Fordham University Rose Hill Campus, Bronx NY. Signs will be posted that day to assist you in finding the exact location for your college or school lineup. Faculty marshals will be there to assist you in lining up for the procession.
IMPORTANT: At Fordham University Commencement, degrees are officially conferred by President Tania Tetlow and students are recognized as a group by their dean. However, neither undergraduate nor graduate students who attend this ceremony will walk across the stage to receive their degree. That happens at the separate Undergraduate and Graduate Diploma Ceremonies. (See information below and within the linked pages for each ceremony) Only Ph.D. and D.P.S. students will have their name individually called at the Commencement Ceremony.

Gabelli School of Business Undergraduate Diploma Ceremony
Date: Saturday, May 18, 2024, directly after the Fordham University Commencement Ceremony at the Rose Hill Campus, Bronx NY.
Time: Approximately 12:30 – 12:45 p.m. (depending upon when Commencement ends)
What Happens at this Ceremony: Undergraduate degree candidates walk and individually receive their ceremonial diploma scroll from Dean Lerzan Aksoy during this ceremony.
Ceremony Location: Moglia Stadium, Fordham University Rose Hill Campus, Bronx NY. Please head directly over to Moglia Stadium as soon as the Fordham Commencement Ceremony ends.
See the Severe Weather Plan for locations in case of extreme weather conditions. This does not mean light rain. (Only 2 guest tickets will be distributed if ceremony moves indoors.)

Late pick-up for caps & gowns: Those who pre-ordered can pick up their caps and gowns at the location below; those who did not pre-order can attempt to pick up a cap and gown for a $10 late fee at the same location and the same dates and times. It is strongly advisable NOT to wait until the day of the ceremony.

Gabelli School of Business Graduate Diploma Ceremony
Date: Tuesday, May 21, 2024
Time: 4:00 p.m. – Please arrive by no later than 2:15 - 2:30 for the check-in and lineup. We are expecting large crowds. (If you do not have a cap, gown, and hood, you will not be able to participate in the ceremony)
What Happens at this Ceremony: Master’s and doctoral degree candidates walk and individually receive their ceremonial diploma scroll from Dean Lerzan Aksoy during this ceremony. Doctoral students will be hooded by their advisors.
Ceremony Location: Edwards Parade (in front of Keating Hall), Fordham University Rose Hill Campus, Bronx NY. Check-in will occur on the side of Keating Hall nearest to MulCahy Hall. Volunteers will then be available to get you lined up by degree program.

If you have not picked up your cap and gown as of yet, below are listed the last opportunities to do so. We strongly advise you NOT to WAIT until the day of either the Commencement Ceremony or the Graduate Diploma Ceremony to pick up your cap and gown.

Gabelli Caps and Gowns not picked up in advance will be available between 8 a.m. and the start of the ceremony on Tuesday, May 21 in the McShane Campus Center, 1st Floor Multipurpose Room at the Rose Hill campus.
