When: Thursday, February 27th 2025, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST Location: Law School, Costantino, New York City, New York, United States NOTE: To register for this event, you must visit this page and click “Join Event.” You will not be registered for the Fair until this step is complete and will miss essential communication from event organizers. This event is open to FCRH, FCLC, PCS, GSB-U, GSAS, and GSE students. The Career Center is thrilled to host our 2025 Arts, Media & Marketing Career Fair at Lincoln Center, Law School Costantino Room 2-02. This event is open to all industries and it provides the opportunity to meet employers looking for students from a variety of areas. Employers attending are encouraged to post current job/internship openings as well as discuss future opportunities. Attending the fair is beneficial for exploring career paths within different industry sectors, networking, and learning more about recruiting and application timelines. Career Fair Checklist:Before the FairResearch the companies in Handshake in which you are interested so you can tailor your professional pitch to them and ask relevant questions.Visit with a Career Counselor to proofread your resume for grammar, spelling, etc. and print at least 10-15 copies on resume paper.Draft your 30-second pitch and practice it beforehand.Dress appropriately! Business professional is always a safe choice.During the FairSmile and be engaging – make eye contact and introduce yourself.Ask questions about their career opportunities, including next steps in the hiring process and take note of application deadlines.Be aware that employers have a limited amount of time and ask for their email to follow up.Make notes to remember information for your follow-up email.Talk with a variety of companies even if they don’t have immediate openings in your field.After the FairFollow-up within 24 hours with a personalized thank you note by email.Make an appointment with your counselor to discuss your job fair experience, draft a thank-you note, and/or share your questions or concerns. Photos and/or videos will be taken at this event. By taking part, you grant the event organizers full rights to use the images resulting from the recording, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the group’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding campaigns. If you do not wish to be photographed please inform an event organizer.
